As with all fashion shows a full blown model casting is unfortunately unavoidable. Not one casting which I have had the (dis)pleasure of attending has managed a seamless turn around and Dubai Fashion Week is no exception. No matter how many emails/calls/texts/tweets/blasts you send reminding relevant parties of time, date and location you are guaranteed to have stropies rolling up late, big sunnies and starbucks in hand or get calls from some poor sole stuck in Satwa babbling down the line about whether the location is next to Al Mustafa’s Audio Accessories or Rabies Chicken when its really in Al Barsha. Ah yes, castings are a difficult time for all but in actual fact, the one for DSF on a boiling hot Sunday morning was a success none the less.
HME Models was invited to attend the casting with our models at 11am we rolled up to the Studio to find about 15 diligent ladies all lined up with their call numbers ready to rock the walk. Simon and his team were set up and already rolling when we arrived. the hours past by with long legs swanning in and out and by the end of it the exhaustion from to many air kisses kicked in and we had to make a break for it.
Over all, great results, lovely ladies, happy days...
